About Us

At Shelton Facial Esthetics, we specialize in rejuvenating your facial appearance and help relieve recurrent headaches caused by muscle tension. Dr. Anderson retired from his well regarded dental practice in Seattle in 2014 and received his specialized clinical training in cosmetic injections from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics [AAFE]. He and his wife of over forty years, Misha, now live in Shelton where she assists him in providing personalized cosmetic care from the privacy of their home office on Brockdale Rd. Prior moving to Shelton, Dr. Anderson treated clients from their home office in Kirkland and the Woodiville Women’s Clinic. Misha previously was a plastic surgery assistant and managed her own health and beauty spa.

What We Offer

At Shelton Facial Esthetics, we use a highly purified form of botulinum toxin called Xeomin to reduce and eliminate wrinkles in the forehead, between the brows and lateral to the eyes. Xeomin is also effective at relaxing jaw muscle tension that contributes to recurring headaches.

The dermal filler Juvaderm is used to reduce and eliminate deeper folds of the lower face and enhance lips and cheekbones.

We offer in-person complimentary consultations to evaluate your concerns and that can be combined with the selected treatments that day.

Our fees are determined by the amount of injectable product needed to rejuvenate your natural beauty and relieve your pain

Our Xeomin fee is $14 per unit

Juvaderm is purchased as a 1 ml syringe at $650.

Our complimentary consultation will provide you with a firm cost of the treatments you prefer.

We accept cash and credit cards.

Do you treat migraine headaches?

True migraines are understood as primarily vascular in nature due to changes in cerebral blood flow and can be triggered by varying causes. They are typically episodic, intense, debilitating, and typically accompanied by sensory disturbances and mediated by sensory isolation and medication.

Tension headaches are primarily caused by prolonged muscle tension in the head and neck and accompanied by palpable pain in the jaws, temples, and cervical neck. They tend to be less intense but more recurrent than true migraines. Botulinum injections relaxing the affected muscles can offer long term reduction or relief of symptoms.

Can these treatments help with my recurring headaches, TMJ, and facial pain?

Are your services covered by insurance?

Cosmetic treatments are typically not covered by insurance. Some medical insurances may cover treatments for myalgia or muscle pain when provided by a physician.

Are there negative side effects to cosmetic injections?

Cosmetic injections with botulinum toxin have been done for many years with rare negative systemic reactions. The injections are micro doses targeted to a specific area to interrupt the nerve-muscle connection and effectively neutralize the muscle for months. It is important the practitioner is skilled to target the correct muscles.

Dermal fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, the building block for collagen, a natural body substance providing volume and structure and naturally dissolves over a period of months. Again it is critical the filler is correctly placed by a skilled practitioner.
